HOSTING

Siteground

Web Hosting

Siteground is an amazing hosting company.  Their customer service and technical support are very top notch.  They explain things in a way that you can understand it and you’re not sitting there like you’re in a very boring class at school that you have no idea what the teacher is saying.  Give them a try.  Click on my link and you too could get started with hosting for as little as $3.95/month.  Check it out. You really have nothing to lose.

WORD PROCESSING

Office 365

This is the new and improved Microsoft Office and its subscription-based (no more discs to install your product) for your PC/Mac, tablet and/or your phone.  Both monthly and yearly subscriptions are available.  It still has the usual programs, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and more. It adds new features every month and you get 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.

G Suite

G Suite is very similar to Microsoft Office.  I’ve listed the programs below, courtesy of David Gewirtz, who wrote an article for CNET called G Suite: Everything you need to know before signing up for Google’s office suite – CNET@Work: The pricing on G Suite is affordable by just about any small business and the benefits are pretty substantial.

  • Calendar: because Calendar manages multiple calendars so well, it’s my go-to tool for blocking out time for projects
  • Docs: G Suite’s word processor
  • Sheets: a spreadsheet
  • Slides: a basic presentation package
  • Keep: a great, little note-taking tool
  • Sites: a website builder
  • Forms: a tool for building quick, but surprisingly powerful forms
  • Hangouts: a chat tool sort of like Slack
  • Hangouts Meet: hangouts video conferencing

If you read the article, G Suite is NOT free.  You can use most of these programs for FREE, but there are benefits to having G Suite.  I personally have G Suite and I use it and Microsoft Office. I use both for different things, and it helps keep me efficient.

FILE SHARING / STORAGE

Dropbox

This is a folder that I have on my desktop computer.  It’s easy to save all my files here into the cloud! You can try it out for FREE! You will get 2 GB of space, Sync files across devices, Shared folders and links and also a Dropbox Paper.  You have NOTHING TO LOSE to giving this a try!

Google Drive

Part of the Google family!  Drive starts you with 15 GB of free Google online storage, so you can save all your photos, recordings, videos and pretty much anything.  Your files can be reached from any smartphone, tablet, or computer. Take your files with you.

One Drive

If you have a monthly or yearly subscription to Office 365, then you already have access to One Drive.  It’s similar to Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive.

GRAPHICS DESIGN

Creative Market

Have you heard of Creative Market? It’s a design marketplace where creators around the world sell unique fonts, graphics, photos, templates, themes, and more. They also give away 6 free products every week! I’m addicted to Creative Market. Check it out!

Canva

Canva is a great graphics tool that you can create almost anything including images for your social media accounts, PDF’s, Logos, Blog images, etc.  This comes in both FREE and Canva for Work versions.  I’ve used both of these and they’re both are great!
