In the quest of achieving your dreams, you will get discouraged. You will wonder why you are not there yet. This is a normal response to have. However, you must remain focused on your dreams so you can get there. Don’t let this deter you away from it.
Here are some helpful tricks to help you keep moving forward as you pursue your dreams:
- Write it all down. Yes, I’ve stated this one before, but this is a big one. Writing it all down can help you release all the frustrations you have as well as record all of your accomplishments too. When you look back at it, you will see how far you have actually come on your way to achieving your dream.
- Don’t Give Up. There will come a time where you want to walk away from it all. The “It’s too hard”, or “I don’t know how much more disappointment I can take!” statements will come into your mind. You’ve got to push your way through those thoughts. Don’t let them take captive over you, your life, or your dream. Getting to your dream is going to be a fight; mostly of your mind. Negative thoughts will continue to creep into your mind throughout this process. You have to be strong to fight against it.
- Use Positive Affirmations. This is another important component of keeping your mind in a positive state. Your affirmations should only contain positive words describing what it is that you really want whether it’s your goals, more money, a relationship, etc. Affirmations need to be phrased in the present tense. For example, if you desire to make more money, be specific about how much money you want to make. Please don’t phrase your affirmations in the future tense. You want to phrase them like what you want is happening right now. “I am now making $100,000 a year.” By phrasing your affirmations in the present tense, your mind is going to work trying to make it happen currently. Keep repeating the affirmations. They will transform your life.
Achieving your goals and dreams will take time. When you get discouraged, keep pushing through the process to get to your dream. Remember the reason why you want to achieve your dream in the first place. That should help push you through.
