How do you deal with change? For some, change is hard to adapt to. For others, it’s not. Some of you may have issues with change. At times I still do.
Change happens all the time. It could be the weather, relationships, jobs, things in your life, etc. Change can also be voluntary. Changes can be small or they can be big. Instead of looking at change as a bad thing, look at it as an opportunity to do something different in your life. If you lost your job, this could be your chance to do something new; something you’ve always wanted to try. Start a business. Go back to school and get a new career. Maybe a change in your environment is needed? How does your environment look?
Your environment says a lot about who you will become. Your environment includes people you hang out with, television shows and movies you watch, books you read, and other things that affect your thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and your values. Simply put, it’s about the people who surround you and the situations you are in.
What situations are in your life that you know you need to change? Who are the people you hang around? Do they support your goals and dreams? Or are they sending some negativity your way? Do you spend time worrying about what people think about you? Are you spending countless hours surfing the internet or watching television? Does any of these things inspire you to keep moving forward towards your dreams? If not, then what changes do you think you need to make in order to pursue your goals and dreams for your life?

These are wise words from the former NBA Champ. Embrace the change that comes into your life. It isn’t always easy. That I do know from my own experiences. But, why fight it? Change is always going happen. It’s a part of life. It’s our ability to deal with change that can make all the difference. Is there anything you want to change in your life?
I encourage you to not be afraid of change. Change is necessary to continue to grow. Step out on faith and pursue what it is that you want to do….most importantly, YOUR DREAM.
