“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman was a true dreamer. She dreamt of freedom. I believe her dream was more of a necessity during this time. She was a slave. She didn’t want to live life like that anymore. In 1849, she left her home state and her husband, parents, sisters, and brothers and escaped to the north. “Mah people mus’ go free,” was her constant cry. In short, she did something about it. Does the Underground Railroad ring any bells? Over time, she went back to the south nineteen times to help not only her family, but other slaves migrate to the north. This is the result of a true dreamer.
Are you a true dreamer? What do you aspire to be? A writer? A speaker? Entrepreneur?
